CFD Smoke Analysis of Car Parking Basement
The aim of this project is to optimize the designed smoke extraction system for fire scenario, such that it would contain/handle the smoke generated during the fire and provide a favourable condition for the victims to evacuate & help the fire fighters to attack the fire. This project will achieve the following,
Conclusion
- Optimizing the flow profile to prevent accumulation of smoke.
- Achieving visibility conditions (set by health & fire safety standards) to help evacuation of the occupants.
- Achieve Temperature conditions (set by health & fire safety standards) to prevent incapacitation of the occupants.
Simulation will meet all the requirements set by standards. ( NFPA, Singapore Civil Defence Standards, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code of Practice, Qatar Civil Defence Standard ).
